First Point

This is the first point number which will be allocated to a reduced observation. If blank, the program will automatically allocate the point numbers.
Note: that the points in the range first-last will be automatically erased at the start of a reduction.

Last Point

This is the last point number which will be allocated to a reduced observation.

Auto Repeat Codes

Tick this box if you want the reduction to automatically repeat a code on successive observations with no code.

Horiz Check

When check shots are taken, this is the horizontal tolerance check applied to see if the observation is within tolerance.

Vertical Check

When check shots are taken, this is the vertical tolerance check applied to see if the observation is within tolerance.

Use Point Names

When check shots are taken, the Obs Stn field will contain the Station NAME instead of the Point number.

Save Strings

Do not delete the Points at the start of the Reduction so that the Strings are retained.
Normally all points in the First - Last points range are erased at the startof the reduction.
This will automatically erase any strings on those points.
Tick this box to retain the points until the reduction is complete and the existing points will be 'replaced' by the newly reduced points.

Average Observations

Tick this box to Average observations to the same point. When this is done, the reduced point values are averaged with the current point value. If not ticked - subsequent Observations to the same point will Overwrite the point values

Default to Check Obs

This makes all observations to Field Points into Check Shots.
This means you cannot accidentally 'change' a Field Point co-ords with an observation if you forget to fill in the 'obs stn' field.

Zero Azimuths

This forces the station setup azimuth to Zero and overrides any Azimuth setting for the station setup.?
If you set both they will be checked and an error displayed if the difference is greater than 30".
